In Memoriam Dr. Fabrizio Flacco

We had the pleasure of working with Fabrizio as Technical Committee Co-Chairs for over a year. Always ready to help out, he brought excitement and enthusiasm to the committee and our activities. We loved hearing about the next workshop he was organizing to build the community. He will be greatly missed. -Hannah, Lydia, and Sertac

Please share your thoughts and memories with us at ras-motion-chairs@mit.edu We will post them on the robot motion webpage in Fabrizio’s memory.

New co-chairs

We welcome three new co-chairs: Fabrizio Flacco from University of Roma "La Sapienza", Lydia Tapia from University of New Mexico, and Sertac Karaman from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Thank you to retiring co-chairs Juan Cortes, Kostas Bekris, and Ron Alterovitz for serving as the TC co-chairs for 6 years!

New co-chair Hanna Kurniawati - Thank you Kris!

The TC on Algorithms for Planning and Control of Robot Motion would like to wish the community a happy new year!

With the new year, we also welcome new co-chair Hanna Kurniawati from the University of Queensland, Australia.

We also thank retiring co-chair Kris Hauser for his contributions to the TC over the last several years!

Discussion regarding RAS keywords

The technical committees have been asked by the RAS Technical Activities Board to review the list of keywords that are used for RAS conferences (ICRA, IROS, etc.) This is an important task that influences how reviewers and editors are assigned to papers, and this opportunity does not arise very often. So, we would like to open this discussion to TC members.

To kick off the discussion, Kris Hauser has made some preliminary suggestions on the TC message board for RAS keywords.
