Juan Cortes (INRIA), Amarda Shehu (George Mason University) and Jianlin Cheng (University of Missouri) are organizing a workshop at AAAI-13 on Artificial Intelligence and Robotics Methods in Computational Biology. The one-day workshop will take place on July 14 in Bellevue, Washington.

The Reflexxes Motion Libraries - An Introduction to Instantaneous Trajectory
Generation

The Reflexxes Motion Libraries contain online trajectory generation
algorithms to let robots and servo drive control systems instantaneously
react to unforeseen sensor events.

Major accomplishment for high-school student, Kensen Shi, who was awarded a $100K scholarship after winning the National Siemens Competition.

The technical committees have been asked by the RAS Technical Activities Board to review the list of keywords that are used for RAS conferences (ICRA, IROS, etc.) This is an important task that influences how reviewers and editors are assigned to papers, and this opportunity does not arise very often. So, we would like to open this discussion to TC members.

To kick off the discussion, Kris Hauser has made some preliminary suggestions on the TC message board for RAS keywords.

A full day workshop titled "Robot Motion Planning: Online, Reactive and in Real-time" will take place in conjunction with the IEEE/RSJ IROS 2012 conference in Vila Moura, Algarve, Portugal on October 7 or 12, 2012.

This workshop is supported by the TC on Algorithms for Planning and Control of Robot Motion and covers the following topics:
